Easter Seals UCP creates opportunities, promotes individual choice, and changes the lives of children and adults with disabilities by maximizing their individual potential to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.
Greater Richmond ARC creates life-fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Greater Richmond ARC offers a wide range of services and programs for those coping with the daily “real world” challenges of living with a disability.
Fan Free Clinic is Virginia’s oldest free clinic offering a growing array of medical, mental health, community outreach and care coordination services for low-income and uninsured persons. It is now called Health Brigade.
Richmond Outreach Center, now named Celebration Church, runs different programs for the community to be involved in outreach. Richmond Outreach Center connects people through outreach so they can experience new life and hope.
Embrace Richmond has been strengthening neighborhoods across Metro Richmond for more than a decade. They train and coach resident, non-profit, governmental and congregational leaders in asset-based community development.
Coal Pit Learning Center is a preschool and daycare for low-income families with children from the ages of three to five years old. Coal Pit’s program is designed to share the opportunity of early learning to children who otherwise would not receive the benefits of a high-quality preschool experience.
Full Circle Grief Center provides children and adults with a safe, nurturing, and caring environment to express their grief and their feelings. Full Circle emphasize the importance of teaching coping skills and feelings identification as well as how to effectively support others while healing themselves.
A.S.K. provides support services for children with cancer and their families. They give supplies such as toys and games and have a dedicated staff to help children with cancer and pass time faster.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. They work to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients.
Mended Little Hearts of Central VA provides hope and support to children, patients and families affected by congenital heart disease. They empower families affected by congenital heart disease through peer-to-peer support services, education, connecting families with resources, creating awareness and advocacy.
Help Claire Help Kids helps hospitalized and other bed-ridden chronically ill children by improving their access to age-appropriate toys and comfort items, and to help ensure that their care environment is as child-friendly as possible. Their goal is to create a better time for children in hospitals.
Acca Shriners is dedicated to fostering lifelong friendships and supporting the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Special Olympics is creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. Special Olympics transforms lives through the joy of sport, every day, everywhere for people with intellectual disabilities.
St. Joseph’s Villa provides children with special needs and their families the opportunity to succeed through innovative and effective programs.
B.E.T.H.E.L. – FRESH START is a church providing fresh starts for the community. B.E.T.H.E.L. – FRESH START aims to create fresh starts through revival.
Micah Initiative is a partnership of faith communities and Richmond Public Elementary Schools that mentors, tutors, and volunteers through communities and schools. Micah Initiative does everything from Tutoring to reading to improve learning.
Blue Sky is on a mission to provide transforming experiences for urban youth through outdoor education. Blue Sky aims to serve school-aged children, with a strategic focus on Richmond’s most under-served neighborhoods by exploring the great outdoors.
