2014 Recipients:

We Heart Harlie and Friends has the goal of changing children’s lives and making their world a better place. Harlie, Alex, Eden, and Ella have medical challenges that do not have an easy, clear cut solution. We Heart Harlie and Friends raises money for travel costs and any medical treatment needed for these four ladies.
LAMB’s Basket Food Pantry provides food to needy families of Henrico County. LAMB’s Basket Food Pantry works along churches in order to find families and need and provide food to them.
Full Circle Grief Center provides children and adults with a safe, nurturing, and caring environment to express their grief and their feelings. Full Circle emphasize the importance of teaching coping skills and feelings identification as well as how to effectively support others while healing themselves.
Henrico Education Foundation prepares students for college, career and community by connecting philanthropy with strategic initiatives that strengthen public education in Henrico County. They have played a vital role in meeting the educational needs of the community’s children.
Positive Vibe Foundation provides a cafe for those with disabilities to work at. Positive Vibe Foundation creates an evolving model for training and employing people with disabilities in order that they enjoy the satisfaction of being gainfully employed.
The ALS Association fights against ALS. They provide assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships
Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond improves the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. They offer individual and family support, education, community awareness and advocacy.
Brain Injury Association of Virginia devotes to serving Virginians with brain injury, their families, and those that care for and about them. Their mission is to advance education, awareness, support, treatment, and research to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury.
Camp Kesem is a camp led by college student leaders to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. Camp Kesem wants to provide a fun-filled week while providing services and extra support that the campers need.
PACKids's goal was to build a free-standing children's hospital. With the help of the funds from DRMD and others, there is now a children's hospital at VCU.
The Gray Haven facilitates holistic restoration for survivors of human trafficking. The Gray Haven serves and provides services that will helps human trafficking clients thrive.
Muscular Dystrophy Association fights to free individuals and their families from the harm of muscular dystrophy. They help kids and adults with muscular dystrophy live longer and grow stronger.
The Center for High Blood Pressure serves clients in the Richmond area by working with them to get high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes under control.
B.E.T.H.E.L. – FRESH START is a church providing fresh starts for the community. B.E.T.H.E.L. – FRESH START aims to create fresh starts through revival.
The Sophie House provides encouragement, supportive services, and housing to single women with or without children. Their goal is to move these women from instability to stability.
Alzheimer's Association is the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care. Through support and research, the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Richmond Chapter works with those with Alzheimer's and their families.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. They work to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients.
