2015 Recipients:

Boys to Men Mentoring offers young men a safe place where they can talk about what is really going on in their lives, as well as a community of mentors and peers who listen, believe in them and help them make better choices. They work with middle schools, high schools, churches, and other community organizations that serve youth to build a community of mentorship for young men.
CARITAS helps our most vulnerable neighbors break the cycles of homelessness and addiction to reclaim their dignity. They provide effective, permanent solutions to individuals and families dealing with the crisis of homelessness and/or addiction in the Metro Richmond area.
ChildSavers guides our community’s children through life’s critical moments with trauma-informed mental health and child development services. ChildSavers offers reassurance, healing, and the skills necessary to achieve normal life and development with clinical treatment, education, and training services.
Jacob's Chance promotes wellness for children and young adults, ages 5-25, with special needs through athletic programs, social experiences, exercise, education, volunteerism, and skills training. They enrich the lives of children, teens and young adults with disabilities, along with their families, through shared activities, athletics, socialization and education while promoting acceptance, understanding, and inclusion through public awareness.
LINC eases the burden of cancer by providing assistance, education, and referral to legal resources, financial guidance, and community services. LINC assist with legal challenges for cancer clients.
Make-A-Wish grants wishes to those with life-threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish serves a unique, and vital, role in helping strengthen and empower children battling critical illnesses.
NAMI Central Virginia promotes recovery and seeks to improve the lives of Central Virginians with serious mental illness through education, support, resources, advocacy, and anti-stigma campaigns. NAMI Central Virginia proudly provides free education programs and support for individuals, families, and the Central Virginia Community.
The National MS Society provides comprehensive programs and advocacy to assist and empower the more than 12,000 individuals with multiple sclerosis residing throughout Virginia and West Virginia. They are a driving force of research for the prevention, treatment and cure of MS.
